Tiger Cruise

As many of you know, my brother is in the Navy and they allow family members to take a special trip on the boat called a TIGER cruise. Kirt was able to take my brother up on the offer to join him and was officially "out to sea" for 2 days. He said that one of the best parts was the airshow, go figure :). He has never stood that close to a jet as it is taking off!It was a bit windy on top of the carrier, so pardon the shaky images.

No running in the house!

We all know that sometimes telling children over and over again ,"Don't run in the house-someone is going to get hurt" just doesn't always sink in. Well poor Emily learned that lesson the hard way.

She was running into her room to put a book away, tripped and hit her head on the small bookshelf she has in there. I heard a loud bang and then her crying. I asked her where she hit and of course she showed me on the shelf, not on her body.

I struggled with whether to take her in immediately to the doctor and decided to wait and she how she did. She is fine now, in fact she even wanted to play baseball a couple of hours later, but as you can tell from the pictures she was not happy that I was taking pictures.

More from Easter Sunday

After a nice Easter lunch, the kids needed to burn off some energy. So they went for a short bike while waiting for the neighborhood easter egg hunt to begin.

Sorry it has taken so long to post these. We've been a bit busy.

Swim Lessons

Emily and Jason had their first swim lessons today. They did great. They got their face in the water and floated (with help) on their backs along with some other things. They ended the lesson with swimming under one of the instructor's legs. Jason was not really happy, but he stuck with it. He was very tired from being up late last night and didn't get a chance to rest before the lesson.

Mad Hatter Party

The local mall threw a "Mad Hatter's Party" this Saturday to kick off the Easter events there. The kids were able to make hats and see the Easter Bunny. They didn't sit with the bunny, but did participate in the Bass Pro Shops' Easter Egg Hunt. Lots of FREE fun!!
