Beach trip with Friends

Decided to take the kids to the beach and invite some friends from the area. Good times for all I think. The boys are looking at some fish they caught and placed in the bucket. We thought it might be safer for the fish in the bucket since the boys were squeezing them a little to hard in their hands.

Lost Tooth #2

Emily has now lost her second tooth. This time she pulled it out herself! We were at dinner and she bit into her food and then out it came. She was very excited, as you can see. It was extra special because Grandma and Grandpa were here visiting.

Jason's Trip to the Zoo

Jason's class took a field trip to the Gulf Breeze Zoo. They had a lot of fun looking at the animals. They were even able to ride on the train! I think that was his favorite part.

After our picnic lunch his teachers presented each child with a certificate of completion. Hard to believe he will be in Pre-K in just a few months.

Another bump

Emily was racing with one of our neighbors and they bumped heads. Poor thing, the other bruise just went away.

Spouse Day at the Squadron!

The squadron where Kirt works put on a Spouse appreciation day for us today. It was a lot of fun. Started off the day with a nice breakfast and then a briefing on what was going to occur--then off to our groups to take tours and fly!! We were able to see the radar control facility, pretty neat to see all the aircraft represented on the screen. My group then went to the Life Support office and we were able to "play" with some night vision goggles, do a virtual parachute drop, and climb into a trainer cockpit. From there, off to the Climatic Lab where we were reminded of Edwards. The temperature was 120 degrees inside and when they opened the door to enter the bay the air comming out felt like a 20mph wind, brought back memories of our first months in the desert for sure. Last came the really fun part, a ride in a helocopter!

For those familiar with the area, this is the Mid-Bay Bridge. Our trip took us from the base to the bridge then south to the beach, then we spent about 10 minutes going up and down the shoreline and then back to the base. The experience was amazing, pictures don't do it justice!

We had a blast! Thank you so much for putting this together.

Field Day

Emily had field day today at school. She had a blast. It sure did bring back memories of field day when I was a kid. They had a 3 legged race, potato sack race, ball on a spoon race, water balloon carry and some other events all packed into a 2 hour time slot. Lots of fun for sure!!
This was her leg of the potato sack race, her team won 1st Place!!!

Kindergarten Circus

Emily's school had a Kindergarten Circus and Emily was picked to be an elephant. The production was very cute and well organized. There were clowns, tight rope walkers, lions, seals, dogs, monkeys, and even a snake charmer. I may have left out a few, but you get the idea. This was the beginning of our very busy weekend!!
