More pics from our trip

Since we were down visiting on Emily's actual Birthday and Jason's is only 2 weeks from hers, we decided to throw a little party for the two of them. Started off with a little swimming and then...

CAKE!!!And Finished up with a water balloon fight. Disappointing how quickly the water balloons go when it takes sooo long to get them ready to go. I would say the whole "fight" took about 40 seconds!

Turns out all that partying wears a kid out!

Visiting Kirt's Parents'

Kirt was TDY for a couple of weeks, so since it is the summer I decided to pack up the kids and head off to see family. Started the trip by stopping at Kirt's parents' house for a couple of days. The kids had fun in the sprinkler and riding the go kart and Mule. Always a good time!
Once the GoKart and Mule were ready for a rest, we headed to the Wildlife Park in Homosassa

Last Day of Swim Lessons!

They finished their swim lessons today! We are so glad we signed them up this spring so they can start the summer with a little more confidence in the water. The place we took them was wonderful.

Last Day of School after Party

One of the neighbors threw a small last day of school party for the neighborhood kids. They threw water balloons at each other, had some snacks and just let out some energy. What will we do with them all summer long? We will soon find out I guess.

Last Day of School

Emily had her last day of Kindergarten today. We were so glad she had such a great teacher this past year. She has come so far in this past 9 months. We are so proud of her. The kids all signed each other's class t-shirts as a souvenier. Good times!

Water Play Day

Today Emily had a water play day at school. The kids had 5 stations: "car wash" (they "washed" their chairs with shaving cream and squirted them off with a hose), sprinkers to run through, a burried treasure station, bubbles, and they also had one that they were to grab marbles out of a tub of water with their toes! Fun Fun Fun! This was finished off by a short relay to fill a small bucket using a sponge filled with water.

Painting in the backyard

The kids had been begging me to let them paint, so I made some smocks and set them up outside with all the equipment they needed to have some fun and be creative. It took them about 30 minutes before they got bored with it. I guess this is a possibility for a summer activity after all!
